All birthdays should be celebrated, but a 40th birthday? That one deserves some special attention. So as her husband Kurt’s 40th birthday approached, Tara had an idea: The Texas couple would travel to the Turks & Caicos as they had in previous years, only this time she would surprise him with all of his closest friends for an unforgettable party.
Kurt’s 40th birthday bash kicked off with a Caribbean-themed welcome party at their beachfront villa, complete with live local music and a colorful candy bar that was as pretty as it was sweet. The three-day party included a boat trip and beach party for the couple and their 24 guests, but the best of this three-day party was saved for last.
The final night of Kurt’s birthday party was a dream: Whimsical balloon displays, a custom champagne bar with a backdrop draped with white orchids, a custom tequila bar with its own light-up sign, an 11-piece band from New York, a dinner table surrounded by a thousand lights that reflected in the mirrored table. And yet, the best was yet to come.
After the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to Kurt, there was still someone who hadn’t yet wished him a happy birthday. That’s where one of Kurt’s favorite rappers, Flo Rida, came in. Singing his hit single “My House,” Flo Rida headed to a stage on the beach built for the occasion and put on a special performance just for Kurt and his guests. And THAT is how you celebrate your 40th birthday.
