If you’re not the bride herself, wearing white to a wedding is normally quite the faux pas. Unless… the bride and groom give you specific instructions to wear white, which was the case for Lauren and Chris’s all-white wedding in Turks & Caicos. Their wedding theme: All-White Beach Chic. And the result was stunning, to say the least.
We can tell you that the all-white attire on the guests did not detract from Lauren and Chris one bit (which is why white is normally a no-no for wedding guests). In fact, the all-white theme made for some strikingly gorgeous contrast with the blues of the ocean and colorful floral arrangements by Flowers by EA.
While Lauren and Chris are from Toronto, choosing the Turks & Caicos for their wedding was a no-brainer — Lauren’s family owns a condo at The Tuscany Resort. After spending so many holidays in TCI over the years, the islands have become a special place for Lauren and Chris. While they were searching for the right wedding planner on the island, several people recommended Tropical DMC. We hit it off instantly, and the planning commenced.
The couple had a ceremony on Grace Bay Beach in front of The Tuscany with 80 of their closest friends and family, who travelled from all around the world to be there. And a little rain didn’t put a damper on their day — we managed to get everyone under cover for the reception dinner, after which the skies cleared and the real party began. Lauren and Chris were a pleasure to work with — we loved their vision for their wedding from the start, and it was an honor bringing it to life. Wishing you many years of wedded bliss. We know you’ll be back soon!
