Good things take time, and the wedding of college sweethearts Ashley and Kenny was decades in the making. After dating for four years in college, this couple went their separate ways. They moved to different cities, married different people, and had three children each before they reunited 20 years later. So the marriage of Ashley and Kenny was more than a union of two people — it was a beautiful marriage of two families.
Ashley and Kenny chose a private villa on Grace Bay Beach for their intimate wedding, and they incorporated their children into the day by having a sand ceremony — a tradition in which each member of the family takes a conch shell filled with colored sand, and everyone adds their sand to one large vase to symbolize their union.
The gorgeous seaside ceremony was followed by an outdoor reception at the villa. The blush and white florals coupled with glittering gold decor made for a dreamy setup for Ashley and Kenny’s wedding celebration. A steel drummer added some island flair to the ceremony and cocktail hour, after which everyone dined under the night sky. And the couple made sure to end the night with a bang, surprising their friends and family with a fire dancer and fireworks.
Thank you, Ashley and Kenny, for choosing Tropical DMC to help bring your wedding vision to life.
