Nicole and Jon’s perfectly photogenic winter wedding at The Somerset in Turks & Caicos was all about details, details, details. There are the big to-do’s on a wedding checklist that are hard to forget, like the venue, the minister, the food. But the smaller details often get overlooked—and it’s often the little things can make a big statement at a wedding. For Nicole and Jon, it was personalized cards, customized hand fans for their wedding guests, gifts for their parents, post-dinner mints and more.
The week of the wedding brought some poor weather, and we were convinced this fun-loving couple’s big day might be rained out. But Nicole and Jon got lucky—they got away with a little drizzle after the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. After that, the weather managed to hold up until after the reception wrapped up, at which point it started to pour!
Environmental Arts provided the dreamy pastel floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception, Shenique of Sheque Perfection took care of Nicole’s hair and make-up, DJ William John kept everyone dancing through the night and the Somerset made for an absolutely stunning venue for the whole affair.
Another noteworthy detail: Nicole decided against the traditional long wedding dress and instead opted for a short-but-dazzling bridal dress with all kinds of gorgeous details from the sparkling lace to the beaded neckline and back. She’s living proof that longer isn’t always better—she looked like a star.
Nicole and Jon, it was a pleasure to be part of your day. Thank you for choosing us to bring your Turks & Caicos wedding to life!
