When you’re getting married on an island, it’s only natural that you embrace a tropical theme throughout your wedding. And for their beach wedding at Royal West Indies Resort, Wendy and Joe embraced the island way, adding plenty of local details to make the event a true Turks and Caicos wedding.
The couple’s wedding weekend began with a beach barbecue, decorated with bright turquoise linens to match the sea, conch shells used as table decor, and string lights to add that little something extra. Meanwhile, local musician Keno worked his magic on the steel pan, giving the couple and their guests a true island welcome.
For the ceremony, Wendy and Joe opted for a sand ceremony—similar to a unity candle—where the couple each add sand to a glass vase to symbolize their new union.
The bride and groom’s special evening was accented with custom signage, photo props, as well as Jenga pieces used in place of a guest book (how cool, right?). Given their fun-loving attitudes, it should come as no surprise that Wendy, Joe and their guests danced the night away. Here’s to Joe and Wendy—may they have many more years of fun and laughter together!
