The wedding of Francesca and Mateo Ugas at The Palms was a particularly memorable one for us. Every once in awhile the stars align and everything just comes together perfectly for a wedding. And sometimes the evening is interrupted with a downpour. Lucky for us, the rain managed to stay away until later in the evening. The dancing portion of the night was in full swing, and we were sure the rain would signal the end of the party. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The bartenders and DJ took the downpour in stride, and the party carried on without a hitch.
Francesca and Mateo got in touch with Tropical DMC through a friend who had used our services for their Gansevoort wedding and recommended us. This wedding weekend was an eventful one, with a full day on the beach the day before, complete with floaties, a game of corn hole and an open bar, followed by an incredible rehearsal dinner at Bay Bistro.
On the day of the wedding, Francesca and Mateo opted for a simple, natural setup with two palm trees for their arch. And sometimes simplicity can make a big statement—like the beautiful organic greens that decorated their reception at The Palms Spa. Pair that gorgeous decor with a fabulous saxophonist, a DJ the couple flew in from Miami, and maracas (Mateo knew they’d get the party going), and there you have the recipe for a perfect wedding. Thanks for choosing us to be part of your special day, Francesca and Mateo!
