This Destination Wedding had a different flare as it incorporated Japanese and Korean traditions into the mix – which made for a very colorful day!
Both mothers wore beautifully made brightly colored traditional Japanese and Korean dresses while the bride and groom opted for more traditional wedding attire – the contrast really made the day unique and special!
I created a photo-booth for the lovely couple, but it was a little different compared to what we are used to. Instead of a booth with an automatic picture timer, we used Instax Mini Polaroid Cameras that the guests could use to take pictures, and they would print immediately. This was able to capture special memories that only the guests could catch and the images are great mementos of the day.
In addition to this, the DJ fittingly played the song by Outkast that refers to “shaking it like a polaroid picture” and the guests burst out in excitement while shaking their images along with the song.
Being a part of this unique day was great, and learning a bit about the Japanese and Korean culture was definitely a highlight!
I wish Jamie and Chris the best as they begin their journey of love, family and tradition together!
